FASCINATING INSIGHTS INTO LIFE

There are full of negative perceptions about life. And we take everything for granted without much appreciation. We tend to dig into others' weaknesses simply to glorify ourselves. Instead, we should ponder over their plight as a lifeline for our successful and harmonious future endeavours. "We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give" Sir Winston Churchill

D'Second Week at UCD

Life is rather hectic here. A lot of hard facts to digest! A lot of challenging assignments to complete! In fact, there is a long list of things to do.

I finally got the green light to do "Sports Science" as my elective instead of Computer Programming. A relevant elective indeed! This elective is quite closely related to my field of studies especially for certain topics.

Last Tuesday, my friends and I joined the UCD Fencing Club. It was reallyyy fun to learn fencing!

Altogether there are 24 groups for 1st Year Medical Faculty. I'm in Group 5. Last Thursday, it was my group's turn to visit the Children Hospital downtown. We're given an overview on paediatrics for our first visit. I have been overly attracted by the set-up and uniqueness of the hospital. Such hospital is virtually unknown in Malaysia. I've just had a thought. Why not establish such hospital solely for children? This will certainly augur well for the general well-being of children. They will be able to get undivided attention, comprehensive treatment and specialized health care. This will, in turn, pave the way for prioritizing the so-called alternative approach to better health care of the 21 st Century "Prevention is better than cure" at an early age.

Fasting Month is fast approaching. I'm certainly going to miss my housemate, Amin's culinary delights. Undeniably, he is a great chef. I think I have to resort to cooking simple meal for most of the days during the fasting month. What a let-down I am???

I would like to wish Amin, Ilyas, Farhan, all my Muslim lecturers and friends "Selamat Berpuasa".

Here are some pictures I took at Malaysia Hall in London whilst on the 12-hour transit stint at Heathrow London Airport recently.
